METHODS OF TEACHING SOCIAL STUDIES PRE-K TO GRADE 2 (2)Thorough examination of the current learning standards for social studies. Experience in their use to develop and implement instructional methods and materials in teaching history, government, geography and economics in PreK to Grade 2. Course will emphasize discipline specific and age appropriate pedagogies and interdisciplinary planning and instruction. 10 field hours required.Prerequisite(s): ECH 4401/4001, ECH 4402/4304, ECH 4404/4000, ECG 4405/4002, ECH 4410/4310, ECH 4412/4008; POL 1010/101; GEOG 1100/110 and HIST 1310/131 or consent of department.Co-requisite(s): ECH 4414, ECH 4415 and ECH 4416.
