African American Studies Minor

University General Education Requirements
The Department of Geography, Sociology, History, African American Studies, and Anthropology offers an 18-hour minor in African American Studies, with the 18 credit hours to be selected with the approval of the African American Studies Program coordinator and program advisors. Equivalents from other institutions will be considered, but at least 12 of the credit hours must be earned at Chicago State University. African American Studies courses may be used to satisfy College of Arts and Sciences general education social science requirements. The requirements for the minor must be completed prior to graduation in order for the minor to appear on the transcript.
