HON 1350 - Scientific Inquiry SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY/LECTURE AND LABORATORY/4 (3)Fundamentals of science applied to everyday life. The specific topic rotates from year to year. It may be physics (basic principles of kinematics, thermodynamics, electricity, and radiation), chemistry (basic principles such as atoms, molecules, periodic properties and organic chemistry), Earth and space science (introduction to the study of the continents, oceans, the atmosphere, and the weather and climates of planet Earth) or astronomy (physical principles of the solar system, stars, galaxies, cosmology and humanity’s place in the universe). All include an introduction to the scientific world view. Additional course fee.Prerequisite: Admission to Honors College.
