African American historiography, theory, research methods and methodology including examination of primary source materials, cultural analysis, interview skills, and archival research involving African background, enslavement, African American social and cultural experience in the United States. (This course satisfies the elective course requirements for the African American Studies major or minor).Prerequisites: Junior standing or successful completion of at least one history course with a grade of C or higher.
