INTRODUCTION TO PUBLIC HEALTH (3)Introduction to public health practice as a scientific discipline. Provides an understanding of the various approaches to public health practice; public health stakeholders; determinants of public health and the role of local, state, and federal public health agencies in protecting the community’s health; ecological overview of the collaboration by local, state, federal and international public agencies to assure a healthy global community.Prerequisite: ENG 1280/128 and BIOL 1080/108Co-requisite: H SC 3313 or consent of chairperson.
