BIOL 1130 - Science in the Service of Society

Study of the intersection between science and a major social issue using rigorous research tools. Emphasis will be placed on a multidisciplinary approach to collecting and evaluating information to understand the chosen social issue. Students will build their analytical skills by engaging the larger community in an authentic project of local interest. Prerequisite: Admission to the university.
