ELCF 5348 - Principal Endorsement Internship The principal internship is an academic year-long, two semester, clinical experience at the PreK-Age 22 school level. Interns complete intensive and extensive field-based experiences under the direction of a principal mentor and a faculty supervisor. The internship takes place in the candidates’ current schools. Candidates also receive administrative shadowing in diverse settings different than their own. The internship is a minimum of 160 hours, completed in 3 credit hours per semester, for a total of 6 credit hours completed over two semesters, but not exceeding 24 months.
