Physical, chemical, and biological characterization of major cellular macromolecules of viruses and their role in the structure and viral functions with emphasis on bacteriophage. Clinical virology and plant viruses of significance to biological research. Application of modern techniques for isolation and biological characterization of bacteriophage. Credit will not be given for both BIOL 4250/325 and 5250/425.
