ESL 4110 - Language & Linguistics

LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS / FIELD (3)Introduction to the English language, including language and the brain, first and second language acquisition, major components of linguistics (e.g., phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and sociolinguistics), as well as cognition and learning. Emphasis on the applicability of linguistics for ESL and bilingual education teachers and their students.Fifteen (15) clock hours of field-based experience in English as Second Language classrooms.
