HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY, AND EQUITY OF ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (3)Introduction to the philosophical, historical, and pedagogical foundations of English as a Second Language and the study of political, social, historical, philosophical and economic implications of bilingual education. Introduction to educational philosophies that promote equality in the implementation of bilingual education. Fifteen (15) clock hours of supervised teacher aiding and/or observation in English as Second Language classrooms. Writing emphasis course.Course credit not given for both BIL 4000/5000 & ESL 4000/5000.
