BRITISH LITERATURE SINCE 1900 (3)An introduction to the birth of twentieth-century British literature, with attention to its socail and cultural history, as well as its philosophical and cultural foundations. Texts are selected from the works of writers such as Hardy, Yeats, Forster, Woolf, Joyce, Lawrence, Eliot, Pinter, Geoffrey Hill, Heaney, Stoppard, and Rushdie.Prerequisite: Successful completion of the English Qualifying Exam, ENG 2100/210 and ENG 2260/226, or consent of department.
