CHEM 1400 - General Chemistry I Lecture

Atomic theory, stoichiometry, concentration units, gas laws, thermochemistry, properties of elements, bonding, oxidation-reduction, and states of matter. Credit may not be earned for CHEM 1400 and CHEM 1550. Students should complete CHEM 1400/1410 and 1450/1460 at the same school if planning to transfer, since topics are covered in different orders by different schools.

Prerequisites: One year of high school chemistry or CHEM 1300.Co-requisites: MATH 1200 or MATH 1250 and CHEM 1410 (as applicable).
