Introduction for majors to core biological concepts with focus on evolution, basic biochemistry, metabolism, and genetics. Lecture and laboratory. Enrollment as a biology, chemistry, physics, or pre-physical therapy major; or consent of the department. Credit cannot be received for both BIOL 1701 and BIOL 1710.
