AFRICAN AMERICANS IN THE 21ST CENTURY (3)Introduction to sociopolitical, sociocultural and socioeconomic issues confronting African Americans in the 21st century. Students will explore the cogency of Post-racialism; the implications for economic development posed by information technology and a service based economy; electoral politics and the politicization of social media and other contemporary issues.
