THEORETICAL INFLUENCES ON DEVELOPMENT: VYGOTSKY AND NEO-VYGOTSKIAN PERSPECTIVES (3) Consideration of Vygotskian and Neo-Vygotskian theory as foundational to children’s development. Analysis of Vygotsky’s theory and multiple applications of his work in recent research and practice. Implications of the theory for implementation of evidence-based practice in working with diverse populations of young children and their families. Prerequisites: Acceptance into the program or consent of the department.
