COUN 5810 - Prac Addictions Coun

THEORIES AND PRACTICE OF ADDICTIONS COUNSELING (3) The assessment, etiology, description, understanding, and treatment of addictions. Addresses prevention, education, dual diagnoses, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and issues related to diagnosis and treatment in multicultural populations. Evidence-based individual and group interventions will be studied. Prerequisites: PSYC 5611 or COUN 5611 or PSYC 5610/411 or COUN 5610 or concurrent enrollment.
