ECH 4315 - Methods of Reading and Language Arts PreK to Grade 2


The development of communication skills will be explored as the foundation for literacy and language arts. Participants will use a variety of instructional strategies for the teaching of reading and writing, create, plan, and implement learning experiences (e.g., assessments, integrated interdisciplinary unit)that are developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive. Credit will be given for only one of the following: ECH 4315/ECH 5315 or ECH 4416 /ECH 5416.

Prerequisites
Admission to the College of Education or Early Childhood Education: Family Studies (ECNT) major; Year 3 (Junior) level or above.
