ECH 3550 - Introduction to Infant Mental Health


This course is an introduction to infant mental health. Infant mental health is defined as the health social and emotional development of a child from birth to 3 years; and is a growing field of research and practice. The course will cover principles of infant mental health practices, risk and protective factors, assessment intervention and support of very young children in the context of their families. Credit will be given for only one of the following: ECH 3550, ECH 4550 , or ECH 5550.
